Difference between Single and Open

Does anyone know the difference between single and open? On youtube.com, you can mark that you are single, open or taken.

Aren't single and open the same?

Thanks!

Re: Difference between Single and Open

  • Why does youtube want to know?

Anyways, I think open may mean you are in an open relationship.

It's a profile question that you can fill out if you want to. Yeah I think you're right.

  • I agree with pps.  I would think it would mean you are dating but not exclusive.

  • Just a bit weird for me that youtube would want to know that in your profile. I would understand it if it where a dating site..........
  • Ditto Jill...Strange...
  • Single - on the market and looking (or not depending)

Open - in an open relationship, poly, or dating multi people at once

Taken - in a?monogamist?relationship (two of you and not more then the two of you [exceptiong of offspring/parents])
