Got my 1st SBC books

Hubby and I went to the library and picked out some books.

Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card- book my H picked out.

The Road to Omaha by Robert Ludlum- book that takes place in my city/state

Life of Pi by Yann Martel- book with the name of character in title

Dune by Frank Herbert- genre I don't normally read. Sci-fi isn't really my thing.

I think I'll start with Life of Pi. I've heard so many good reviews, and it seems to be the most interesting out of the 4.

P.S. My H doesn't think its fair that we get more points for reading a book another Nestie picks out compared to the one H/SO picks out.

Re: Got my 1st SBC books

  • Your hubby picked out a fabulous book for you. I had to read "Ender's Game" in high school, and thought I would hate it but ended up loving it.

"Life of Pi" was difficult for me to read, but the end made it worth it.

  • Ender's Game is my DH's pick as well!
He recommends it to almost everyone we know, and I've been looking forward to reading it (once we get it back from whoever has borrowed our copy last).
