Calories Burned Question

I have started using sparkpeople to start counting my calorie intake, but how do you know how many calories you have burned? I know you can put info in sparkpeople, but is it just a guesstimate game? Sometimes you work harder then others.

Re: Calories Burned Question

  • While not foolproof, a good way to know how many you're burning each time you exercise is to wear a heart rate monitor.

  • I got my Polar F4 for $89 or so on sale at d ick's.  You can check your local running store too.  There is also a website that sells strictly heart rate monitors that puts them on sale too.  Check amazon too as they go on sale now and then too.
