Lunch with BFF and she is woefully unknowledgeable about her own anatomy/pregnancy/testing because she didn't even have to try a month, I wanted to hit her it the face with a fire poker yesterday, scream "you don't deserve it," and run with arms flailing thorough the restaurant. I didn't (obviously). I sat there and tried to educate her while she second guessed me. I'm a bad friend and I don't care. She sent me another ultrasound pic this morning b-(

I get it for craft stores and for people that make stuff, but just Christmas decor and that stuff....ummm no.  I also hate that Hobby Lobby puts their Christmas stuff out in June.  That is way to early for anything Christmas related!

  • This may be a UO around here.. I think there is way too much blood, gore, and violence these days. On TVs, movies, video games, whatever. I really do think it has some effect (no matter how mild) on kids. I'm not necessarily blaming them for acts of violence as there are SO many factors there such as parenting, mental illness, personalities etc (though I do believe it may play a role in some ways) but it saddens me that kids are desensitized to so much, so young.  I also don't like it when people dress up their kids as scary, bloody, gross things for Halloween.. and I hate that so many young kids know who these horror film characters are anyways.

  • Why is *every* single costume for a female over the age of 12 "sexy"?

It must be "popular" because people are buying them (or else no one would sell them).

I remember when the only sexy costume was a french maid. I am old.

I'm with you. I rant every time I walk by female Halloween costumes.

I gotta agree. One of our 20-something interns was wearing a princess/fairy outfit today to work. To do therapy with teenage boys. Spaghetti strap, short, white linen dress. Come on.

Yikes!  They told us that we could dress up, but I just feel like as a therapist it is inappropriate.  Now if I was a therapist for children, then it would be appropriate.  You need to be aware of the people you are around.
