    Being a M.A.S.H fan, I had to pick Hawkeye out of those

    T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.

    True story: my friend seriously wanted a Pomeranian and was going to name him Meatball whenever she got him. I'm not sure if this has changed in the intervening couple of years.

    Third Anniversary 100 Comments Name Dropper 5 Love Its
    We named one of our dogs Lambchop, so that is a personal favorite.  A few months ago we brought in an old lab that was wondering in our yard, when we finally tracked down the owners, we found out he had a little dementia and couldn't find his way back home... his name was Billy, and I thought it was an adorable name.

    Gus Gus for sure.  I also love the name Porkchop.

    I like the comic book Hawkeye (revolving around Hawkeye from the Avengers), but not enough to name my dog after him.

    I chose Coco because it was the name my dad gave his dog when he was little. He was some kind of mutt.  

    I had a friend who named his dog Shitcan, honest to goodness.  I hated it, but laughed a little every time I heard it.

    I chose Finn, but I think it's impossible to name a dog before meeting them. I tried naming my dog before I got her, but when I did she was a Maddi. No other name would do. I always wanted to get a male Cavalier King Charles and name him Jake just because I liked how it sounded "Maddi and Jake." Instead we have "Maddi and Cuervo" (yes, like the tequila. DH named him, not me!).

    Agreed!! We had a name all picked out for Zoey, but when we finally got her and brought her home, we both realized the name didn't fit her at all. We took an entire week to finally come up with her name (and in the end, I held Zoey out for so long because I wanted to use it for a little girl someday).

    I don't really like any of those names. I've had two dogs...the first one was named Buck and the second one named Jack. Buck was a hunting dog and my dad said it usually works best if they have short names.

    Just do what my BIL/SIL did. Name your child Zoey, then give away the namesake dog. :)
