Cleaning stovetop grates

Does anyone have any advice on how to clean stovetop grates? Mine are seriously caked with grease. So far I have tried soaking them and scrubbing with baking soda (which usually does the trick for me), but it didn't make any difference. I need something really heavy duty...any tips??

Re: Cleaning stovetop grates

  • I have a gas stove and put mine in the dishwasher. You could try Dawn and vinegar also. I find some sort of combination of Dawn, vinegar, and baking soda fixes most messes. Good luck.
