This may be a long shot. Looking for Recipie.

My mom worked for Ocean Spray seasonaly last fall and got to bring home tons of Cranberries. She brought a bunch up here this Christmas and we made home made Cranberry sauce for Christmas.

I have a bunch of cooked frozen Cranberries in my freezer and am looking for ways to bake with them. Does anyone have any cookie or loaf recipies containing Cranberries??

I have done a search on allrecipies.com but nothing has caught my eye.

  • I've never used cranberries in my baking but I just googled the Ocean Spray website quickly and they have some pretty interesting recipes:

    Good luck and happy baking!

  • Your so smart! Thanks!
  • For muffins, I use pre-packaged bran muffin mix, and add in things like cranberries and orange zest. That's a hit in our house. Instead of adding water, I use orange juice. Or lemon would work too. I love cranberry lemon muffins.

  • I actually own a recipe book dedicated to cranberries; I picked it up a little while ago because every year I go to a cranberry festival in Langley and come home with 2-4 pounds of cranberries and the only thing I ever made was cranberry sauce! I still have tons of cranberries in my freezer so I needed to find new recipes! If you still need some let me know and I'll look in my book and email you some :)

  • I would love some! The only problem with the recipies above and that I have found on line is they call for whole cranberries and mine are all cooked and smooshed (if that makes any sense!)
  • I googled crushed cranberries and found this receipe, http://www.visionsofsugarplum.com/2008/11/crushed-cranberry-vanilla-oatmeal-bread.html.  It looks pretty yummy so if you make it can you send some to me!

Ah ok well that will make a difference as most of the recipes I have call for whole cranberries or cranberry sauce. But I guess if yours are cooked and squashed then they could still qualify as cranberry sauce, right? I will look in my book and hopefully send you some recipes via FB in the next day or two :)

  • You could make crepes.
  • I like making homemade apple or pear sauce and mixing in some cranberries and maple syrup while it is cooking. Yum!
