Recycling Textbooks?

I give my regular books to the library, but does anyone know where to recycle used college textbooks? I have 10-12 farely recent editions (although too old to sell back to the bookstore) does anyone know of a charity or organization I can send them to?

  • I've gotten rid of most of my textbooks on  This might not be the best time of year to sell them, but you could post them now anyways.  I even got rid of some of mine that I used in my undergrad classes in the late 90s!

  • Try, they usually buy back most of my old books (sometimes I get like $0.84 for them though) They pay for shipping too! Otherwise you can drop them in those book donation bins they have in some parking lots. I haven't actually done this with any of my books I couldn't sell back but I'm planning to soon.
