Re: punta cana

  • I think it depends on where you are staying, but my first instinct is yes. My brother and fsil are going in late june for a full week at a ai for $3k with air. I don't know how much a child would add. I'd say check out applevacations and tripadvisor.com . The other ladies will probably have some other great tips for you.
  • Try Puerto Plata. I stayed in the Riu (AI) for 6 nights for $900pp (with air).

Yeah, this seems high, especially with the current state of the economy.  I agree with checking sites like applevacations.com and travelzoo.com for deals.  Are you looking at a particular hotel?  Maybe expand your search.

  • We went in September for 7 nights.  With r/t airfare out of Detroit for 2 adults it was $1,840.  So yes, I would say $2,500 for 4 nights sounds high.
  • Desmond&MollyJones-

Do you mind telling me who your travel agent is? ?I'm from the Detroit area too.?

  • i guess that would depend on the resort, the room etc...compare it to other resorts prices. have you tried cheapcaribbean.com? allinclusiveoutlet.com or contacted a TA?
