    Here's one:

My husband's birthday is tomorrow.  I don't have a gift for him as of yet.  Nor do I have any idea what we're going to do tomorrow.  I've asked him what he wants and where he wants to go.  Nothing.  Every time I buy him something, it's not quite what he wants.  Whenever I try to do something special, it's not quite right.

    I'm at a complete loss.

  • My credit card has gotten out of control this month because of various (mostly necessary) expenses. I just bought a new camera (old one barely usable), a filing cabinet (needed one for several years), and stocked up on dog food (dog's gotta eat.) I'm not a bit guilty because of how good finally buying these things we need feels. I'm so excited to get our paperwork in order and have a camera that works better than my iPhone for the new baby!

  • I remember when I created my ticker at the beginning of the school year...I thought that ball and chain would never make it to the other side of the screen. NOW IT'S ALMOST THERE!

This isn't really a confession...I just had to share my glee over the fact that I only have 10 more school days to go.

I'm unreasonably sad about the trees being cut down outside my office window today.  Like, I can't focus on work because I just hear chain saws and it keeps getting brighter in here, and I'm wicked, wicked, sad about it all.  Also, my view of the giant mall and highway is only getting better.  At least the trees used to shield that hideous view in the summer.

The highway, which is currently about 75 feet from our building, is getting a new off-ramp - 10 feet from the building!  It's going to be all day every day construction for at least the next year, directly outside my office window.  Awesome.

  • I get annoyed when people are crazy, over the top preachy about ANYTHING, even things that I agree with.

I have a friend who I love dearly who is super into clean eating and so on. Guys, she posts about it on facebook NONSTOP. It never ends and it is making me dislike her.

I feel this way about people who go overboard talking/posting about politics, gun control, pet adoption, rear facing car seats.... whatever their big "thing" is... I just want them to shut up.

Please talk to someone about it and get help.  Lots of people deal with issues like this, and it's great that you are recognizing warning signs early on like this.  If you feel powerless to stop it, get help.  We're all here for you.  Is it a problem that you have had before?  ((hugs))

I didn't read HP until Order came out, and that was only because the guy I was dating at the time was really into them, and I went with him at midnight to pick up his copy and he made me borrow the first 4 books. He will always hold a special place in my heart.

I feel your pain. I have a friend with either posts motivating posters about changing your life & taking control of your future or status updates that are really just ads about changing your life by doing an ultimate reset diet thing "Message me for details!!". I'm about ready to block her from my news feed completely. Seeing her at a party this weekend should be interesting.

We might have the same friend.  (Except that mine takes moments out of clean-eating posts to rave about the view from her country house.  Sometimes I think she's trying to convince herself that moving so far outside the city was a good idea.)

I went to the movies by myself so I could see Fast and the Furious 6!  I couldn't subject someone else to watching it!

Fast cars and Vin Diesel and Michel Rodriguez are so much fun that I don't care if Paul Walker and The Rock can't act their way out of a box.  I could have done with more driving and less fighting, though.

  • I have two, one of which I feel really guilty about.

I left work early yesterday to watch the National Spelling Bee semifinals bc I couldn't get ESPN mobile to work at my desk. The second is that I'm not really enjoying being pregnant. I'm super happy and excited (and scared out of my everloving mind) to be meeting this new person in October, but I physically feel like pure sh*tballs.
