Dude... where are you all?

I leave for a few hours and... nothing has changed.

What have you all been up to today?

Re: Dude... where are you all?

  • Went to the dentist, called off work because of my knee.  Made two doctor appointments today, and cleaned out my clothes that are too big/i never wear.  Soon will play all my family on wii.

  • I had a crazy busy day at work. I work in a jail and we found Marijuana in the incoming mail to an inmate. Which called for K9, Crime Scene/Detectives to inspect, bag and tag.....  and a random shake down of the Pod it was suppose to go to.   Plus an extra hour or so of paperwork.

  • I'm trying to put my eye balls back in their sockets. They rolled out when I saw someone on fb with a custom made ACU wallet that says "Air Force wife, Air Force for life!" She got engaged like two seconds ago...

I just met a couple last wknd that is new to H's squad. The wife asked if I would make her a ACU diaper bag since I sew and they are expecting baby #2. I politely said No.

  • I am moodswinging between really frustrated/angry and totally terrified for my test tomorrow. It's exhausting and I am blaming all of this on my uterus. I think it should go to hell, Stupid effing thing.

I also have a confession. I had no clue who Davy Jones was before today (other than a mythical pirate). My FB exploded a couple of hours ago, and I had to google him. But that didn't stop me from having the "Pirates life for me" song stuck in my head.

    Woah.

  • I'm in TX, working onsite at the main company's office (normally I telecommute).  And I'm teaching a class this week, so not much online time for me...  Whee.  At least I'm racking up the overtime.  Yay!

  • Packing, paking, packing.  We're outta here next week, yee-haw!

And my blood pressure is sky-high from reading the abortion thread on S&R. The same woman from last week asked for abortion experiences, and of course the pro-life people see it as an opportunity to convert her, despite the fact that she's made up her mind.  And in true fashion, one of them posted a link to photos of dead fetuses, you know, so everyone will know what they're responsible for killing.

  • I just finished working out and am watching Idol now.  I took a quick shower and the water pressure was really low but sometimes it is.  Then I went to turn the kitchen faucet on after and had no water at all.  We have well water, and I've never had it before, so I'm freaking out a little bit.  Of course when I google it sounds like a nightmare, but I don't know for sure.  H had well water before so I need him to wake up so we can email about it.  Luckily we had the seller buy us a home warranty at closing so I just have to pay a service fee, but I don't want to pay $60 if it's something normal that happens.  And of course with my luck, whatever is wrong with it will be something not covered by the warranty.

  • I went to Bible study where Caroline melted down in childcare.

Then I got home and realized I had a voicemail from a supervisor at the Child Development Center wanting to interview me! While not my intended career field, it's money in the bank and Caroline would be right there so I could nurse her instead of pumping. Great for my child who refuses a bottle. So who knows! All in all, a happy evening.

I'm sad for Marcia Brady...who is she going to crush on now?

This whole day got away from me.  The most productive thing I did was a few hundred items on a report for work and look at the itinerary of BlogHer parties that were released today.

My dad and I went to see Act of Valor. We just got home and now I'm waiting around until about 6:30 when my friend picks me up and we head out to slum about.

How was it?  I'm dying to see it but don't want to be disappointed.

    Shot first, questions later.
  • sounds good to me.  :)
    Shot first, questions later.
  • Le sigh. Today started off so well.

I went for a run this morning, ate a great breakfast, took my pup out for a walk to practice what we learned last night in our first obedience class, then took my other pup out for a walk because he was jealous, then folded a crap ton of laundry. Then things went downhill.

A friend posted on FB "Passed my PT test! Now time for a burger and fries to celebrate!" And then all I could think about was a burger and fries. So DS and I went to Fuddruckers for lunch. And the burger was gross. The fries were worse.

Then we went to Marshalls because all of DS's PJs that fit are fleecy and it's too warm for that now. I also needed a new pair of jeans. But as soon as we walked into Marshalls my diva cup started leaking. Obvi I wasn't about to try on jeans in that condition, so I grabbed a couple of pairs of little boy PJs and high tailed it out of there as fast as possible.

I got home, remedied the diva cup sitch, and then proceeded to have the worst cramps of my life, to the point where I was nauseous and about to puke, for about 2 hours. DH came home at 4 to find me in the fetal position on the floor of our bedroom while DS played "Let's pull all the nicely folded clothes out of mommy's dresser and throw them on top of her!"

Then DH noticed that on of the sprinkler heads in the back yard was sort of on, leaking water half-heartedly. He called the landlord who said maybe there was too much pressure in the system, so turn the whole thing on for a few minutes. Well, then they were all on and wouldn't turn off. Landlord said he'd send his son over with the tool to turn off the water.

Fifteen minutes later his wife shows up with the tool. But she doesn't know where the thing is that we're supposed to use the tool on. Neither do we. She says call the plumber. We call, no answer. So landlord's son comes over and finally finds the valve to shut off the water. Then the dogs who are full of mud from the back yard jumped on the landlord's wife, who is the absolute embodiment of the perfectly-coiffed-and-attired officer's wife. Yikes.

Do you just have the well or do you have a tank also? You might have ran your well dry, don't use any water for a few hours and you should have more water soon. If this becomes a constant problem and you don't have a tank I would look into getting one. It as the well collects water it stores the extra. That way you run out less often.  Hope that's all it is!

  • Hugs Meltoine!!!! I hope that your day is better tomorrow. No fun.

I will tell part of my miserable day, because misery loves company. And if it is any consolation to you at all. I left my purse in Chipotle while I was having a Mental/Menstrual fight with my husband about wall art for our house. I didn't realize it till I got home and had to go back. Then my cat knocked over my coffee and ruined a book my sister let me borrow. :(

We do have a pump in our garage, and I just checked a bit ago and it was 0 PSI, which I feel is a really bad thing.  I'm waiting for H to write me back about it but I'm thinking it's going to be something big.

I vote we have a junk food and midol party together.

  • I've been working all day. Today was so odd. We had a bunch of No Shows, two of which I said cool thanks for calling I don't want the flu. The other one was due to no insurance, and the other two the daughter got suspended from school this morning and the family was trying to deal with that. I've had the worst sinus headache all freaking day. I came home and got a wild hair to fix E's sink in the bathroom, the drain had been funny and he has said for like 6 months he was going to fix it and didn't. It took me about 10 minutes but now its fixed! YAY.

Other than that I'm just hanging out with the doggies and trying to decide what to have for dinner.

I honestly think that just means the well is empty. I wish E was home he could tell me for sure. He grew up with well water and a tank. My grandparents have one but all I knew was if we use the water for too long there would be none left for a good 2 hours or so. Fingers crossed that its not that bad!

You're a better person than me.  I sucked it up and made one to the tune of $75.  If I'm going to create something tacky that I don't agree with they're gonna pay up.

  • Mmm. Class. I hate night classes. And then dinner and mall walking with a friend. DH saw her at the Commissary today and told on me. I don't really sleep at night, just various times during the morning when I'm exhausted. So then I was made to get some "exercise" to help me sleep at night. Anyway.

Thanks.  I'm really hoping it's something easy.  H finally emailed back and said just set up a service call.  These are the times that I get most frustrated when he's gone.  The perk of having a husband is that I'm not supposed to be the one who has to deal with this crap!

I am currently freaking out with a fashion emergency. My photographer friend asked me to pose for her tomorrow (for her portfolio) and I cannot find anything I want to wear. Also, they are being taken at the beach and now I'm up painting my toenails since they looked terribad.

My phone beats me every time. When I play Catan IRL I usually win. But, I have the actual German game Seidler (sp?). Looooove it!
