Stupid FB post of the day

Since we missed it on Tuesday...

An ultrasound pic of the baby's "junk" and his hand seemingly playing with it and that caption, "That's our boy!" with no short of 30 comments regarding in-utero masturbation and how he's "just like his daddy".

Re: Stupid FB post of the day

  • Tongue Tied I can only imagine the things they are going to post in the future.

I am so glad I didnt grow up with social networking sites. I think it is crazy that some parents post embarrassing pics or updates about their kids. Just because they are kids, doesnt mean that they dont have the right to privacy. I am sure they would hate it if the tables were turned, but since they are just kids I guess people dont see it as a problem.

  • Wow. Poor kid. I could totally see having a laugh with my DH about it if we were to ever have an u/s like that, but making jokes about it on FB? Those are probably the kinds of parents who will pull out that picture for every important occasion to laugh about it, embarrassing the heck out of him.

Totally agree.  Because although they are just kids, they are people and they grow up and it would suck if one of their uncles or parents' friends would say something about some awkward thing they said as a child to tease and just humiliate them.  I actually blocked a girl from high school, because she was constantly quoting her four year some of the things that would be so humiliating for him as a teenager or adult.

Ugh.  I had to fight my mother not to post pics of my son's junk on FB or the photos of me in the middle of a contraction or the ones of my boob in his mouth.  Yeah, not so much mother.  No pics of my boobs on the interwebz please.

  • OMG no way! I would be speachless.

I'm personally tired of people "forwarding" things on FB like they would an email.  This latest one doesn't seem to make sense to me, its a pic of a little boy with a heart problem (adorable boy and the pic makes me cry), but it says "if this gets a 1000 shares his heart transplant is free".  WHAT...why would a kid get free surgery because FB friends "shared" the pic 1000X's?
