iPad girls

DH and I were Christmas shopping yesterday and he surprised me by buying me my Christmas present early...the iPad I've been begging for! I was using it all afternoon yesterday and so far I LOVE it! Anybody have any must-know tips or apps that I should look into? So far I have pandora, Netflix, Facebook, kindle, amazon.

  • Yay!! You will LOVE it! I adore mine and take it everywhere with me. I really like my Snugg case I got from Amazon, it's really handy and I thought studier than the Apple Smart Cover. I also have this lap desk from BBB, my mom bought it for me for my birthday, and while I thought it was frivolous, it's seriously one of my favorite accessories for laying on the couch and reading without having to hold my ipad or prop it on a pillow.

As far as apps are concerned, I have all the book readers, nook, kindle, Overdrive (to read library books), and Goodreads. I have tons of travel apps since I'm always on the go, Trip Advisor, Kayak, and Flight Status or Flight Aware are pretty good.

I had to have a calculator, so I got a basic calculator app.

Pandora is great. I also have realtor.com since we've had to house hunt recently, Zillow for the same thing. The new Starbucks app is awesome if you go to there a lot. I also got a fun Christmas list app called Gifts Free to organize and set budgets for everyone on my list.

Skype is another of my must haves. Along with IM+, The Weather Channel, Target, Walgreens, and Fertility Friend.

Also, if it isn't already updated with iOS 5, you should definitely update, because it made so much of a difference in using Safari and replying to posts here on the Nest.

  • Other than the ones you mentioned, I have myfitness pal, fertility friend, twitter, several news channels, the weather channel, starbucks, linked in and errands.
  • I agree with Yvonne's suggestions.

I had to have solitaire and angry birds for games. I also suggest downloading a variety of the free games. They are fun and then you don't hate yourself it they turn out robe dumb.

I also suggest Find iPhone. It can locate you iPad, lock it, or send a message to it if it gets lost. I've tested it and it works.

I like the living social and groupon apps too and I have a couple of cooking apps.

I asked for a stylus for Christmas. It makes the touch screen a bit easier with certain apps.
