Updates?

Hi. I miss posting on here. I miss reading everyone else's posts as well. Let's do updates?

Re: Updates?

  • Skyler will be 6 in one week. I'm in major denial about that. She is loving kindergarten and even has a boyfriend ... not so happy about that. They draw each other pictures and hold hands walking into school together. She is such a sweetheart though. The other day she won $16 from some in-school assembly and her Dad took her to spend it since it was a special thing. She spent half on herself and half on Charli. Made me so proud!

Charli is going to be 3 soon, but she comes off as 5. She is so smart. The girl never stops talking, and says the cutest things. She is so loving and sweet, but she is also my tomboy. She can spell her name and recognize letters. Sigh. SO big.

Kenleigh is getting into everything ALL the time. She wants to do exactly what her sisters are doing. She says a few words, mostly "mine" haha. I can't believe she is so big already.

I graduate from nursing school on December 13. It still doesn't feel real. I'm so looking forward to being done and having more time with my kids. My relationship is still going very well. The kids LOVE him and he loves them just as much. After graduation, and passing state boards, I will be looking at apartments in Columbus. I don't want to leave my family but I really think this is the right step for us. It will put a comfortable distance between us and the crazy ex, there are more openings in jobs that I want to apply for, and let's face it - a long distance relationship is hard.

I can't post pictures on here because of the crazy ex but most of you are my friends on fb anyway and I post more pictures than necessary there. Haha.

I hope everyone is doing well. I can't believe the Holidays are here already!

  • We are doing well. Ella jabbers all the time, but she doesn't say any real words yet. She loves to go go go and is starting to hate sitting in her carseat for more than a trip across town and if she is done eating at a restaurant she wants out of her seat right away. We are going to arizona aone (just me & ella) in about 6 weeks and I am really nervous for 2 hrs in an airport and 4hrs on a plane...

Chase and I are doing good... he is working a ton and I still work from home. I really like my job and it is getting to a busier season which is nice because I was not working much over the summer.

  • nothing new here =(

getting ready for the maddening hours at kohl's on top of the 40 hr week i already put in at owens.  j and i are still doing great and that's all the exciting news i have!  lol

    Kris....I'm finally a Mrs! 10/11/08
  • Things are going really well for us.  Davis is great, he is such a different kid from last year till now.   The improvements he has made are truly unbelievable.  I've started looking at pre-schools, crazy.

I have 1 week of classes left!!!  I can't believe it went by so fast.  I'm working on applying to a private school for PTA because unlike Owens, they don't have a wait list.  They are selective, but they take more students for each new class which starts every fall, but once you pass all the requirements you are in and it is on a first come first serve basis to the first 45 students which is nice.  Owens you can get bumped out if someone scores higher then you in points and they only take 24 students and I cannot even apply for admission until Feb 2013....if I get into the other school I can begin October 2012 and graduate in September 2014.

I'm not ready for the holidays.  Bah Hum Bug.

Oh and RESPECT THE FREAKIN' TURKEY PEOPLE!!!!  LOL

  • Audrey: She's doing great! She'll be 11 months old on Saturday, hard to believe she'll be one soon! She's waving, clapping, playing "so big", standing, walking behind push toys and she will take one step now on her own. She's also talking, she says mama, dada, dog, kitty (every animal that is not a dog is "kitty" lol) and I swear this morning she was saying "down". She's into everything, she loves to unroll the toilet paper, throw things in the toilet, this morning she tried to climb the shelves on her changing table and figured out how to open the bathroom vanity and climbed inside.

Jake: He's doing really well too! He loves preschool and getting to ride the bus. He's been talking a lot lately and in the last week has consistently started using words, he was even trying to sing in the car this morning! He's also started to really try and play with other children.

DH&I: I've been keeping busy with my etsy shop, things are going well there! Still doing some photo shoots here and there, but my availability is so limited and we don't know when we'll be moving so I'm not doing a whole lot there. DH still hasn't found a new job yet, he's had a few interviews, but nothing more. He's still employed until the end of December, most likely until the middle of January now. I'm about to get started on applications to go back to school for SLP since they are all due in by February to start in a pre-SLP program summer '12. That's really all the updates I can think of right now!

  • Stella is just growing way too fast - past the 5 month mark last week.  She is a very animated little girl (if you saw my videos from a month ago, you know what I mean)!  I know it is not going to be long now before she's on the move and that scares me!

I'm doing okay - work is okay for the most part, but my temp (who is still here 3 months after my return) seems to be moving into my job.  All fine and dandy if I get what I asked for at the beginning of the year, but not a peep about that yet.  And I am a woman on a mission right now...I'm determined to lose 40 lbs.  Even if that means skipping lunch and hitting the gym instead.  Tired of looking gross.

DH has been on third shift since he returned to work and I absolutely HATE that.  I absolutely despise the way he got screwed out of his job as the DARE officer and hate that he always puts others before himself (he did not want to force someone else to a less than favorable shift, so he took it instead).

And it seems like June 23, his deployment date, is just coming way too fast.

  • Hi. I'm not on very much either. But I'll update too.

Natalie is a crazy, awesome, jibber jabbering, back talking, little ball of spazziness. She's seriously a great kid. She talks A LOT. Her favorite phrases are "NO! Sarah (last name). NO!" or "God damnit". Oh yea, she got that one from me.

I'm sick all the time from being pregnant. It sucks. I've lost about 15 lbs from it. I work at wal mart for now and am taking a break from school. Will probably go back when the kids are in school too. Wal mart sucks but it's a job, right?

  • We really don't have a lot going on.  We've been TTC since August and that's about all the news I have.  We spend a lot of time working on stuff around our house and our project now will be cleaning out our basement which flooded at some point last night :(

  • Monk- He is doing new things every day, starting to do some echoalia, which is ok because then we can mold that into functional speech, he is also mimicking a lot more and doing some animal sounds. We have started using PECs with him too to help us communicate. He is sitting and doing table activities at ST and OT. We are leaning toward a very intensive year round program that uses all different therapies for him after he turns three.  He would do that for two or three years...depending on if we want to put him in Kindergarten when he is 5, or not (his birthday is in June so he is in that weird time).

Harry- He is growing big. He is sleeping about 5 hours at a stretch now, and likes to sleep during the day too...He has been smiling socially for a little while now which I thought was early, but he definitely smiles in reaction to us talking to him and smiling at him. He has cradle cap, and it drives me nuts because he gets a rash all over his face from it too.

DH- Just had a phone interview for a new job, the interviewer said that he would most likely be called to come for an interview as he was the most certified applicant thus far with the most experience....We are hoping that it is a significant increase in what he is making, so we can work on getting our debt paid and get another vehicle for me. The job is out of the Education system which is good, and I hope that he hears from them, because the way things are going at his current job...its going to be difficult to make things work out after they make some changes to their contract.

Me- My incision is almost healed, I am doing well and adjusting to the two kids thing. Its very different because now we are always on the go with stuff for Monk, I get lots of help. I spend a lot of time researching right now to advocate for Monk and also just taking care of Harry. My life can be hectic from time to time but I love it.

  • I haven't posted much on here, just for the fact I have a lot of negative things going on in my life.

The Main negative thing going on is my marriage.  Evidently it's over.  DH announced he wanted a seperation October 3rd - then on October 6th he stated that he wanted to dissolved the marriage.  There's no other woman, no finance problems, he doesn't drink (except for socially) or do drugs, he just stated that after 5-1/2 years of marriage he feels numb to me and no longer loves me.  To say that I'm devastated would be an understatement as I still don't understand.  But as many of you might remember last spring I wrote about him having a seizure.  That seems to be when this all started.  I can tell his meds are off - but it seems to be nearly impossible to get him to go in to see someone since he's in total denial that there might even be a problem there.

As soon as I find a job back near my family - I will be moving.  My nephew & his wife have a big house and have already welcomed me in to live there until I find someplace better.

So - here I am. 37 years old - splitting up from the one man I felt I could call family. It was just so easy for us before all this started - I still don't understand how we got here.  But, I'm hanging in there, and in the past I had heard - divorce is worse than death.  I understand that more than ever now - it truly is.  This is the worst pain I've ever felt in my life and I even lost my mother & best friend tragically in the same year.  I'm still unsure how I'm going to make it thru this.  I mean I know I will - but I wish I could speed thru this painful part because I just can't take the heartache of our marriage ending.  My family is totally shocked because they all thought that we were that couple that would last, we were always laughing, always joking around with each other.  When I really sit down and think about it tho - I have seen red flags.  I just wish things would've worked out differently. *sigh*

I am so sorry to hear this!!  I will keep you in my prayers...

Things are busy for us.  November flew by for me.  I finally feel like I am doing what I was meant to do in life.  I LOVE being a mommy, and I love teaching.  Cara seems to be learning something new all the time.  She is trying to crawl, and she just started pulling herself up on smaller things.  She is a pretty happy baby, and she is doing pretty well with sleeping now too.

My class keeps me busy, but I enjoy it.  It was nice to have the break for Thanksgiving, and I am looking forward to Christmas break too.  I can't believe how fast this year is flying by.

C and I are doing well too.  We are looking for a newer vehicle, preferably an SUV.  That has consumed a lot of our time here lately.  He has been working later than normal too, which is nice on pay day, but we miss having him around more in the evening.  That's about it for us right now.  :)

I'm so sorry. I can't imagine what you're going through, but if you need to vent or anything please feel free.

  • So sorry hear about things Taowen :(  I can't imagine how difficult it must be for you.

Things are good with me.  I'm barely on the TB/TN anymore, usually just FB.

Alex started preschool at my school this year 3x a week and loves it, but I think he'll need something more for next year, we'll see.  He just started speech recently too for articulation problems, especially with word blends.  I'm hoping to see improvements soon.

Cameron is wonderful too.  I'm adjusting to how different of a personality he is than Alex was.  He doesn't take "no" for an answer at all, but thankfully isn't too much of a hellion yet.  I can't believe he will be a year soon.

Work is good, but busy.  I have a student teacher starting in the winter which will be nice. DH is the status quo.
