2 5ks in 6 days - too much?

I just signed myself and H up for a local 5k turkey trot on Thanksgiving morning. We ran our first 5k a month ago. I have been running on and off very short distances (1-2 miles) the past couple of years but just the past 6 months I have been running 2.5 - 3.5 miles outside a couple of times a week. I'm still working on it, but getting faster and stronger with running as each week passes. There is another 5k the Saturday before Thanksgiving that has caught my eye - it is local, but part of it is cross-country in a park, so a bit more challenging than a road 5k. I'm wondering if it would be pushing myself too much to also sign up for the 5k that is the Saturday before thanksgiving or if I should give it a try - I'm trying to challenge myself physically and with keeping my eating in line and I'm kinda intrigued by the thought of completing 2 5ks so close together. I have no qualms about walking part of the 5ks if I need to. I am also trying out a free crossfit session this Saturday, so I might be adding that to my weekly exercise as well. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
