NBR-Best trick or treater costume

I am stuck at work. Let me live through all of you giving out Halloween candy this year. What is the best costume you have seen so far?

Re: NBR-Best trick or treater costume

  • I haven't had a single trick or treater come :( I have two big bowls full of candy!

  • Still working hours here on the west coast. Although, we NEVER get trick or treaters. So sad.

  • We ended up going out to eat so I don't know if any came between 6:20 and now.  We've got candy just in case, but I doubt we'll see anyone.

  • No trick or treaters for me either - I'm stuck at work until 9.  BUT, I do have a student who dressed up as Coraline, so I was pretty excited about that.

  • We had a little girl dressed as a Christmas tree with a topper, working twinkle lights, garland, AND a stocking for a treat bag! She was so cute.  When we gave her candy she said "My stocking's kinda full..."  We also had an AWESOME Luigi!

  • A girl dressed as a box of popcorn with real popcorn around the top. It was really impressive.

  • The box of popcorn sounds so cute! I lucked out and had two kids stop by the Hospital, luckily my boss left me with some candy just to be safe. So  I had a princess and Thomas the Tank Engine come by and see me!
  • We had a 3-ish year old Luigi and his Dad was dressed up as Mario. It was adorable.

There was also a group of 3 middle-school aged girls that were all dressed as witches. I said something like, "Oh, witches, very nice!" and one of them was like, "We're the 3 witches from Macbeth!". I gave them extra candy.

  • We had the most adorable little chubby cop come by.  One of DH's parishioner's came as an 80s girl, but she was pushing the envelope with that--she looked more like a day-glo hippie.  It was cute anyhow.

  • I didn't have anything real great at the house tonight, but while camping over the weekend, the campground had some cute ones. One of my favorites was a little girl dressed as a Paper Doll. She had the posterboard dress cut-out with all the tabs on it. It was super cute.

  • We had one girl who was dressed as a giant squid and she made the costume herself- so cool!

Love this!  My students read Macbeth today as our fun Halloween-esque activity.

  • We had a kid come dressed up as a Jawa from Star Wars, complete with the glowing red eyes.  It was awesome.

  • We had over 205 kids Indifferent

It's our 1st year in the house, and our neighbors said it could be 80-100. So I"m glad DH went overboard with the candy purchases!

The most creative costume was a kid dressed up like a sports fanatic, but with a "jersey" made from a white t-shirt he'd painted "Go Ceilings!" and when I asked what he was he said "a ceiling fan"-  hysterical!  At least I thought so after 3 pumpkin ales Big Smile

  • We only had 15 or so kids stop by. My cousins came by and the 2nd grade girl was dressed as an iPod. She also had "I Want Candy" playing on a hidden iPod in her pocket. :)

  • Our trick or treat has been postponed until Sunday November 6th because of the massive power outages and trees down in our area.

  • One of my dear friends dressed her daughter up as a sushi roll. She made the costume herself - she used duct around a round container as the "seaweed", packing peanuts for the rice and then used fabric for the salmon, cream cheese and cucumber filling. She was SO freaking cute.

  • I probably had about 50-60 kids. There were 3 or 4 Bumblebees and various witches (multiple colors) but the cutest was a little chicken! She was about 3 years old and it was adorable!
