Bella's having a little...

We are SO excited. I would love some name suggestions.

DH is loving Jameson or Bradford ... therefore, I need to have alternatives to change his mind. I would mind Jameson, but don't want Jimmy, Jim, Jamie (his sister), or James (his dad).

Re: Bella's having a little...

  • If you like Jameson, you could always call him "Jay" as a nickname rather than those that you listed.

  • Congrats!

I actually don't mind Jameson or Bradford, but I understand about the nickname thing!  I had the same problem with Natalie.  We really don't care for the nicknames "Nat" or "Natty", and so DH and I put our foot down with that immediately and no one has ever called her those nn's.  (Of course, I can't predict what her friends will call her, etc., but I don't mind about friends.)  What ended up happening is that she has a whole slew of other random nicknames, some that have nothing to do with her name at all.  I guess what I'm saying is don't put too much weight into that-- people will call your kid what YOU call him. :)

You could also name him Jameson with a coordinating middle name so he could go by initials (JJ, JP, JC, etc.).

It sounds like your DH has a naming "style" so I would check out nymbler.com.  Put in Jameson and Bradford and see what happens!  Good luck!!

  • Boy names are so hard for me. I like Luke (not Lucas, just Luke) right now.

Landon doesn't really have a NN either... I mean, "Lan?" Um, no. So I just call him monkey or little butt.

  • Congrats on the little boy!  I like the name Jameson.

  • Congrats!! Boy names are hard for us too.
  • I think Jameson is cute.  My good friend has a nephew named Jameson and he just goes by Jameson.  Our boy names we never got to use were: Zachary, Owen, and Nathan.
  • Congrats on the boy! Sorry, no name suggestions, we're fighting our own battle on that front right now
  • Congrats!!
