Good Morning!

Good Morning INs! Happy Thursday (I believe it's the weekend for the Nesties in the Middle East!). What are you doing today?

QOTD:

What's your favorite easter candy (from your home country or new country)?

Re: Good Morning!

  • Hello again! School, Work, and then home to study French verbs! Excited for the weekend!

QOTD: Lindt Dark Chocolate Bunnies here in Switz (they are vegan!!). During pre-vegan days I did love Peeps and Cadbury Eggs :D

  • Good morning! I'm super-exhausted and ready for the weekend already. However, I'm facing four tough classes in a row today. Let's hope they behave!

QOTD: Reeses' Peanut Butter Eggs. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. It's a good thing I can't get them where I am.

  • Good morning ladies!  I'm tired, but good this morning.  I don't have anywhere to be this morning so I am happy about that.  This afternoon Leo has gymnastics and then this evening I am going out with some friends that I haven't seen in months.

QOTD: Back in the US, there is a specialty candy store that makes awesome peanut butter eggs.  Here in the UK, I love me some Cadbury eggs.

  • Morning! It is most certainly our ME weekend, woo hoo! No major plans for the day, just working til 5, and then home to get ready for a 80/90's beach party at one of the hotels here. Should be a lot of fun!

QOTD: Starburst jelly beans, Cadbury cream eggs and the plain old Cadbury eggs that are just chocolate in a candy coated shell. I need to email my MIL and ask for an Easter care package! Oh, and Easter doesn't exist here, so no local treats!

  • Good morning! We have nothing planned for today. I'll have to do some grocery shopping later, but other than that we'll have a pretty lazy day.

QOTD: Cadbury eggs. I love them!

  • Good morning! Nothing too exciting - DH had to work in Bahrain today so I'm here at our old apt packing up some stuff with the pup - too bad she cant' help! Later tonight we're having dinner and drinks with a friend and that's about it ;)

QOTD: Umm, I'm not a big chocolate fan...or Easter candy fan...wow, large fail in the QOTD category today. And Easter isn't celebrated here, so I'm at a loss. :-s

  • Morning, day two of no car, it sucks having to wait for someone to pick you up to go places! I should be picking it up this evening though.

Work today, hopefully it won't be too bad. DH won't be home for dinner so it's me and the pup and it's raining :(

QOTD: The big Cadbury eggs, the hollow ones that come with additional chocolate! Oh how I love them!!

    Ninth Anniversary

Morning! We slept late-ish for us! Yay. Boo for the getting up multiple times in the night that made sleeping in an option, but whatever. Have just ordered some cool Haba toys for F.C. and am trying to decide if we should head to town for more shopping (I?m sure the hubs would say heck no) or stay at home today. My throat feels a little scratchy, so maybe staying home would be the better choice.

QOTD: I LOVE malted milk eggs!! The pretty pastel ones in neat colors like robins egg blue and such.

  • Hey ladies!  I'm back at work today but not feeling much better so I plan on going home and crashing while watching American Idol tonight :)

QOTD: Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs and Cadbury Cream Eggs.  Although when I was little my brother told me Cadbury Eggs were actual raw eggs covered in chocolate, so that turned me off to them for awhile - I think he just did it so he got to eat the ones in my basket.  Jerk.

    Now jumping domestically.

  • My coffee pot has died!!!  This is not a good morning.  Nothing is brewing, it's just dead.  It worked yesterday, I hope this is not an omen for the day.  Going to work and then buying a coffee pot!

QOTD:  Plain old fashion dark chocolate

Don't they have British grocery stores with all this stuff? Waitrose had canned pumpkin around thanksgiving, candy canes, Christmas/plum pudding and panettone for Christmas.  Not to mention Santas, stockings, Christmas trees etc.  I haven't really looked, but I'm sure there is Easter stuff around.  Methinks its time for you to take a trip to Dubai :-)

I went to the gym this morning, fun day with the fire drill at work... hoping to get out of here ASAP and relax a bit before my busy weekend.  On Friday my mom and I are going on a boat trip to the Musandam peninsula to see some fjords and stuff then on Saturday we're doing a desert safari.

QOTD:  I have a sweet tooth year around, so for Easter I eat more of the same - various chocolates - but just in pastel packaging.  I guess I liked the eggs with caramel in them, but not the creme - it's too rich for me.

  • Good morning! Just work and the gym for today, I'm hoping to up my km on the treadmill this afternoon, wish me luck! I did 3.5 on Tuesday and going for 4 today. I still find every moment of jogging so, so difficult, I'm hoping that it gets easier soon.

QODT: my MIL used to send us Easter care packages and I jumped on the peeps. They are dangerous for me! Fortunately (for my diet anyway), she's stopped doing that these last couple years.

  • We (that would be the royal we of Monkey) are still working on jet-lag.  If we follow the trend, we will be at normal bedtime by Sunday.

QOTD:  I am not a real chocolate/sweet fan (except when I am PMSing).  So for me, it has always been the Sweet-Tart eggs.

  • Nothing going on here today. My mother's group was canceled because a lot of people couldn't make it this week. Now I have to find something else to occupy my time today. We'll see what I can get into.

QOTD: I love Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs. They are so good because they have tons of peanut butter in them. Yum. I also love Peeps, but only if you blow them up in the microwave first, then they get all crunchy and good.

  • I am going to unpack and get caught up on cleaning today, not very exciting but it needs to be done. I'm going to start meal planning today, I feel like we haven't been eating as healthy as we should be so wish me luck!

QOTD: Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs, yum!

  • Good morning!

QOTD: Don't have any favourites really, I do like good chocolate eggs though...

  • Trying to figure out how to fit my hour at the gym into the day today.  I have a meeting at 3, and I need to leave by 6 to meet a friend for coffee.  I'm thinking maybe I should go sometime between my 10:30 meeting and lunch at 12:45.  But I hate that I spent all this time doing my hair and makeup before work, and now I'm just going to go screw it all up and have to start over.  Bleh.  I'm jealous of the guys at work (DH included) who can go to the gym whenever they want, because all they have to do afterward is take a quick shower.

QOTD:  Here I like Easter marzipan.  Little sticks of marzipan dipped in chocolate.  It's just like regular marzipan or Christmas marzipan, but it comes in a yellow package that says "Easter Marzipan" on the top.

  • Back from zumba and I just turned some icky plain yogurt into vanilla with strawberries. Hoping to get our meal plan for next month done today as well as some reading before we head to a friends' place to visit with their new baby again.

QOTD: Reese's peanut butter eggs and slightly stale peeps. (I poke some holes in the package and eat them a few days later.)

  • Good morning! I'm on my way to my first of four appointments today. Well on my way if the bus ever comes. Just work and then field hockey practice tonight. QOTD Milky way eggs mmmm. I also love Easter M&M's but that's more for the colors.

  • Morning!  I'm wishing I was still in bed.  I'm SO sick.  Baby is sick, too.  Ugh.

QOTD:  In the US I like the sweet tart chicks, ducks and bunnies, and the starburst jelly beans.  In the UK I like cadbury mini eggs a LOT!  I'm scared of the ones with creme inside, though.  I just like the chocolate with the sugar coating.

  • Good morning.  I'm at work.  Just had my psych class - we're talking about mental health disorders right now.  It's so interesting.  This afternoon, I have a 2-1/2 hour child protection training session.  Luckily the guy who is teaching it is a good guy and funny.

QOTD:  I miss the chocolate chiffon from a chocolate store near my hometown (chocolate covering peanut butter chiffon).  It's so good.  And they just don't get into peanut butter eggs over here.  So I've made do with the massive amounts of really good chocolate they have in England and just eat that.

    image
  • Mornign ladies!  Just working here...finally back from England for the month, next trip isn't until May!!!!!  (not that I don't love it there, I'm just tired of traveling each month).  I'm now working on the massive amounts of laundry that piled up while I was gone...sigh.

QOTD:  OMG...I love easter candy!  Peeps, Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs, Sweet Tart Eggs, Chicks and Bunnies, Starburst Jelly Beans, and Cadbury Creme Eggs (though the English ones are FAR better...and I can get them here!).  Yeah...I love it all.  My waistline does not, however.

  • Morning!

I've been feeling dizzy since yesterday morning, so I'm taking it easy today. Maybe a walk this afternoon if I feel ok.

QOTD: I can't think of anything either from Canada or here in terms of Easter candy/chocolates.

I'll be getting some for M this year, so I'll get some of the good stuff for me! Last year we just got hollow chocolate eggs for M to find, I don't care for those and found them waxy.

  • Not much to report, still unpacking my shipment.  Think I have space for everything but the books and we are shopping for bookshelves this weekend (though I think we will end up taking my father-in-law up on his offer to make us some).  Thursday was closet reorganization day, and the awful realization that my cloths take up 3/4 of the bigger closet and 1/3 of the smaller one!!  I hate to tell DH that he has practically no space. Friday I am working on finding places for the photos/yearbooks/etc.

QOTD:  From New Orleans:  Elmer's Heavenly Hash and Gold Brick Eggs and the solid bunnies.  I haven't really found anything other than Cadbury Easter Candy and I am not fond of Cadbury chocolate, so I really haven't checked the candy.

  • Good morning! I've been around town and got most of my errands done. D and I have a play date at 2, then it's home to do more cleaning and make dinner. Still haven't decided what we're having though. I have a killer headache - I suspect it's because I need new glasses. >.<

QOTD: From the UK it's the Lindt dark chocolate bunnies. From the US my favorites are the Reeses peanut butter eggs.

  • Morning. I had a meeting this morning that was canceled, so my day is looking pretty easy. I plan on registering with a new doctor today, because the one I currently have doesn't answer questions, or examin patients, or really do anything useful other than ask if you want antibiotics. This other one got good reviews on the NHS website, so hopefully that will work out.

QOTD: I don't have a favorite Easter candy.

  • Good morning! Today I'm going to spin class then putting a poly on the table to finish the job! Also waiting for the phone technicians to come because our house line doesn't get incoming calls. QOTD: peeps and cream eggs-yum!
  • Good morning/afternoon/evening depending on where you are :-)

I'm having an awesome day, first the doctor actually helped me, then I had an awesome meeting at work - things that go smooth make me happy!

QOTD: borstplaat eggs. Borstplaat is a sugar and cream concoction that drows you teeth out of your mouth by it's sweetness, but I love love love it. Also good quality chocolate eggs with hazelnut filling, yumm!

Visit The Nest! Visit The Nest! Visit The Nest!
  • It is midnight.  Why am I still up?  Tomorrow is going to bite.

QOTD: Robins eggs, and any and all chocolate bunnies.  But they've got to be solid.  Nothing more disappointing than biting into a bunny ear and realizing it's hollow.  Oh, and just plain ol' foil wrapped chocolate eggs.

I remember my mom used to love those marshmallow filled eggs.  Blech.
