What was the most unique wedding gift you received and that you love - I need some ideas for a non-traditional couple.
Re: Most unique wedding gift
We got all cash at our wedding with the exception of one ridiculous gift from DH's family that we didn't like.
At our shower we got mostly all things off of our registry. We did get a new digital camera that wasn't something we registered for. We loved that!

I loved our bouquet preservation from saltmarsh pottery in dartmouth ma that my grandmother paid for
i also love the platter we got from there....decorative...alll seacreatures around the edge, and our names and wedding date in the middle....
a handmade chip and dip pottery piece from a family friend that has a buisness

We only got two boxed gifts for our wedding, neither of which were anything great. However, at our shower, my cousin gave us a Paris-themed gift, since we were headed there for part of our honeymoon. She gave us some guidebooks/maps, and she also wrote us a letter and included her favorite restaurants, shops and out-of-the-way places she recommended. It was really thoughtful, though I guess it would only work if you knew their honeymoon destination really well.
I love the idea of framing their invitation, though. My friend got one of those for her wedding, and she just adored it.

That is really sweet.
We got money for our, but in the card from his uncle was 100 bucks in 1's and a condom and an absolutely disgusting message that I will not type here... ::rolls eyes:: he is clearly not one of my favorite people in DH's family.
Aw, I like the tree idea. My friend's gmother died and someone gave the family a tree to plant in her honor. My friend was a little "WTF is with the tree?" about it (to me of course, not the tree giver!), but I would've loved it if it was me. So I guess that's one of those depends on the person ideas. But I love it.
