My clothes smell like the laundromat

Yes, I know it sucks that I currently have to go to the laundromat in the first place, but my clothes do not smell clean when I leave. I generally use dye free/ scent free detergent, and dryer sheets because they build up awful static in the dryers, but what else can do I do make them smell better? Something that will be acceptable to the laundromat? So, running loads with just water and vinegar isn't an option.

Thanks

Re: My clothes smell like the laundromat

  • Can you try a different laundromat (just once) to see if it makes a difference?

  • That's one of the things I'm planing .My neighbor and I have been trying different ones each time and reporting back on the results. One didn't manage to get his whites white at all (he's a chef and has white chef coats) and the other was full of crazies and he recommended that I don't go by myself- ever.

I've been holing off doing laundry because I HATE the laundromat, but I'll try out another next time

  • Maybe you have to drive to a different part of town. I've never had a problem with a "laundrymat" smell and did my laundry at different ones for like 4 years straight. But I scoped out ones I felt comfortable at, and one place drove like 20 minutes to a "nice" one.
