Starting the job search after 20 years!

Yes, I'm older than most on here and I'm usually over on the Pets board.

I was laid off last week after 20 years and am getting my feet wet again. I've been sending out resumes and am preparing myself for when I do get an in-person interview.

I know that I should bring with me additional copies of my resume and a pad for notes.  What do you suggest to carry these things in?  I worked in admin in a country club previously, not the corporate world.

Any helpful tips/websites/don't would be greatly appreciated. I need to find something before my severance runs out. TIA
