TMI: Anal

So DH & I have been married awhile now, and we decided we would try to spice things up and try anal. We've tried a few times on different occasions now, each time unsuccessful. Ever since, when I go to the bathroom (#2), I can't get clean. I've tried everything I can think of - even baby wipes or liners. This is getting frustrating (and embarassing). Has anyone else tried anal and had this problem?

Re: TMI: Anal

  • 1.) Eat more fiber

    2.) Enema

  • You should alway "clean" with an enema before and use LOTS of lube.  Have a glass of wine to start things off.   Try a hot bath after and dont over do the enemas.
  • Reason #888 not to try this!!!!!

  • don't knock it till you try it!

whatever floats your boat and all that jazz, but...

there are certain things one need not try to know it's not for her/him :)

So true!  I was on that boat where I would never try, and I am glad I did.  Lots of patience from your partner, lube and RELAX.  It can be very enjoyable.

The woman who thinks it's "trashy" to have enjoyable sex if there are children in the house also disapproves of anal? Shocking.

agreed. it seems like it would be the least enjoyable thing ever, when really, it's surprisingly not at all.

  • I would say that the couple of times that we did it, I had just the opposite problem.  It seemed like I was totally cleaned out after.

  • Never had that problem, but I agree that lube might help.  A gay male friend of mind recommended Eros Bodyglide because as he said who knows lube better than a gay man.  Now, I haven't tried any other brand, but I have to say the Eros Bodyglide is GREAT.  Good luck!
  • I would increase your fiber intake.  We only recently started doing anal, the first time I woke up the next morning and when I went felt empty.  The following times though, not as much.  Increasing fiber should get you back on track.  I've also done an enema, and sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesnt.

To be honest, I'm not sure the issues are related.

LOTS of lube, LOTS of foreplay, and LOTS of lighter anal (tongue, fingers, small toys) before you try putting his penis in.  Have him give you an orgasm first to help you relax.

However, I would skip the wine.  Alcohol can muddle your awareness of pain, which may seen like a good thing but definitely isn't when you're dealing with such a sensitive area.

  • Just get used to it....
  • I have been very curious about this topic...my hubby wants to try it so we are going  to embark on a new journey...LOL
  • Read the book, "The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women." It's written by a woman and it will give you aaaallllll the information you could ever want or need about the subject. It's really a great book and will open up a fun area for you and your guy to explore. Anal sex can be really fun, but there's NOTHING worse than bad anal sex.
