I am so disgusted by the lack of preparation by SDOT and WDOT. What happened to the well publicized logistical meetings that were done so that response to snow would be better. This is ridiculous and laughable that a city is shut down by less than 6 inches of snow. This weather was predicted well over a week ago and updated ever 13 seconds (it's coming, we even had a pool on the Nest) and yet....they did not pre-treat the roads. Nor did they treat AS the snow began. SDOT admitted that they watched and waited, but did not send out snow plows and sand trucks until rush hour. A severe La Nina winter has been predicted, is this what we should expect for the rest of the winter? It is not that hard, you PREpare. Pre--- a Latin prefix meaning BEFORE. Perhaps the mayor and governor should get some sort of task force together at great taxpayer expense to decide how to better mitigate snow/ weather related issues. Oh wait, they already did that. Way to go with that politicos!!
