Daycare?

Hi ladies-

What are average center cost for an infant? My husband has an interview next month and I am dreaming of Texas!

TIA

Re: Daycare?

  • I don't have any kiddos yet, but from what I've heard from friends it really just depends on the area and the kind of daycare.

One of my co-workers is having a baby next month and the daycare she chose is in downtown Fort Worth and is charging around $1100 a month for her son, but I know a lot of the centers in the suburbs are less. I think the home and church daycares charge a lot less too.

Not sure that helps. I'm sure that some of the other ladies on here who have kids will have better advice :)

  • It can vary. Probably the least expensive I have seen for an infant is right around $200/week and the most expensive is $1500/month.

  • I've paid as low as $795/month to up to $1255/month.

  • We pay $190 per week for our LO but it really depends on the location and daycare expectations.
  • In Frisco we pay $1050 per month at a full time center.
