Good Deals on Laptops?

I am going to school, again, and would like a laptop.  I have a netbook but it is not that helpful in what I want to do.  I am going to sell it and want to get an inexpensive laptop for papers, research, pretty standard things.  I know I should get 3gb ram. Other than that I was just wondering if anyone knew of stores with good deals right now. I found some online but I want a reliable source since it is a big investment.

So grateful for an amazing husband in good times and not so good times!

Re: Good Deals on Laptops?

  • BestBuy and Staples are great resources for PCs.  I'm a mac girl myself, and they have a deal going on at the apple store where you get a free ipod touch with the purchase of a laptop.  We've had DH's macbook pro for 4 years now and not once have we had ANY issue with it.  Mine is only 18 months old and is a workhorse!  Our old PCs lasted 12-18 months before they started getting slower and having virus issues and such.
