I did 8 miles today! I needed to try to move my long run earlier because we are busy over the holiday weekend, but my legs were feeling pretty dead this morning. I decided to try it anyway, figuring that the worst that happened was that I ended up with a shorter run and would just repeat this week in my training week next week...but I had one of the best runs of my life today. It was beautiful outside and I felt great the whole time (well, the first mile was rough and the last 1/2 mile my legs were very heavy--probably shouldn't end on a long uphill...). My heart rate stayed fairly steady the whole time and I ended up with about a 10 minute mile pace overall! YAY!
