Weekend Confessions

Judging from the other posts, looks like several of us got off track. They can be H&F related or not. Doesnt matter!

1. BF went golfing all day today, I was finally able to get some things done on my own and get a good workout in. He got home about 2 hours ago (completely exhausted) and is taking a nap....its quickly approaching dinner time and he HATES it when I wake him up from his nap. I'm contemplating bailing on our dinner plans (grilling kabob's) if he's not up soon and having a turkey sandwich instead. 

2. I ate WAY too much spicy queso dip this weekend. I'm actually ashamed of my lack of self control to keeping it to a small amount..

  • We visited friends in Nashville and it involved a lot of eating and drinking, including breakfast at the famous Loveless Cafe complete with biscuits & gravy, bacon, and hash brown casserole.  It was a fabulous and delicious weekend and I don't feel the least bit guilty about it.

    Life's too short not to splurge, or to beat yourself up after doing it!

  • Last week was our honeymoon, and I ate (and drank) whatever the hell I wanted whenever the hell I wanted it and didn't exercise at all.  It was fantastic and I don't regret a thing.

    It did feel great to get home and cook my own food, though.  I missed fresh fruit and eggs and yogurt and spinach!

  • I too ate horrible this weekend. I even splurged on a doughnut. It was oh so good. I did get in a good workout yesterday though.

  • Since DH is working all weekend, I took advantage of cooking and bbqing up a storm this weekend. Now all I have to do is warm stuff up in the microwave this week after work.

    I did pretty good this weekend. I ran 5 miles yesterday and then my boot camp class was 90 mins today. I feel great.

  • I was doing pretty good all weekend...until tonight.  DH and I went to the diner for dinner tonight, and completely let go of healthy eating.  DH and I went all out, he got wings and I got the chicken finger platter (with fries!) and I enjoyed ALL of it.  I haven't had chicken fingers and fries in FOREVER, and we had to celebrate my new job! :D

    We're now working on making up some pasta for lunches this week, getting back on track :)

  • For the past 2 weeks I have been eating so bad. I have been going to the gym but not like I did. I am going to eat better this week and hit the gym as much as I can this week.
  • * I went to a local high school track to calibrate my Nike+ this afternoon, and while I know that four laps make a mile, I was rather embarrassed that I didn't know the technicalities - which lane? was there a stagger? 

    * There were a few high school (maybe college) boys playing soccer while I had my run. I guess I liked the thought of an audience, because did a great 14 laps. Plus, I felt extra cute in my running skirt.

  • Today I had bacon at breakfast, hot dogs for lunch and hot sausage for dinner. While my fat content was through the roof today, I don't feel the least bit guilty over what I ate. I had a killer workout today and managed to stay within my calorie goal for the day so I am not worried.

    So my confession is what I ate or maybe that I don't care...

  • I ate horribly and my efforts to work out over the weekend ended in an epic fail.  Got back on track tonight though. 

    Even though I am a sahm right now, it was nice to have a lazy weekend where I wasn't too productive.  Not much got done around the house other than folding my eleventy billion loads of laundry.

  • Snacking was my downfall this weekend.  As long as I was up and moving I was fine but as soon as I'd stop doing something I'd want to eat for no reason. 

    I did however spend 90% of my weekend outside which is a complete 180 from my normal weekends so I was very proud of myself for that!

  • drank way too much this weekend.  i am normally a glass or two of wine kind of gal, but H and i drank a case of beer in 2 days...sorry liver ;)

  • I won first place in my age group in my 5K this Saturday. It was my first age group award EVER, and I was so excited that I pinned the ribbon on the fridge and grin like an overjoyed little kid every time I walk through the kitchen.

    DH and I have both upped our mileage in the past few months, and our grocery bill has gone up approximately 33%. I'm probably averaging at least 2,500 calories a day. (I don't count because I don't want to know!)

  • Oh man, I ate so much sugary crap this weekend, I really can't believe it.  I'm normally very good at controlling myself, so I don't know what got into me.  

    We had a bday party for BIL, so of course there was cake, ice cream, Doritos (one of my huge weeknesses!) and the usual burgers, etc.  Then we went to the movies yesterday to see the new Shrek and I could not stop eating Reese's Pieces.  Those along w/ sour gummy worms, swedish fish, and twizzlers.  Then, we had gone to Subway at lunch, but didn't eat the two chocolate chip cookies that we had gotten.  So I finished off 1 and a half of those after dinner last night.  Uggh.

    I did manage to get a small run in (only like 2.5 miles), so at least that was something, but it wasn't near enough to work off all the crap I ate.  Oh well, today is a new day (and a new month!)

  • I ate way too many "junky" snacks; BBQ chips, Lay's, s'mores, etc...  I also drank too many Miller Lites.  Oh well, it's once a year that we go camping.  I did have my fair share of healthy foods, but not sure if it was enough to balance out the bad!

  • 1.  Threw DH a 30th bday party.  Had cake and ice cream twice throughout the weekend. 

    2.  Having cake day at work today.  I cut the cakes.  It's Maggie Moo's ice cream cake....probably going to have to have a small piece. 

    3.  Didn't workout at all.  Granted, I was getting over feeling yucky all week, so I took it easy.  However, I'm back at it this week!

  • I had a decent weekend of eating, but...

    1. I did not get to ride on Sat. A teammate and I went to the trail to preride it for the race in the afternoon. It rained all afternoon, so we went to the hotel to relax (race was a few hours away, so we stayed the night). Had I known I would not get to preride, I would have done a road ride in the morning.  I did walk around a bit, though.

    2. My ride for Monday was a FAIL because of the rain. Instead of a 2.5-3 hour hard group ride, I did a moderate 90 minutes by myself. I sat on the couch and got caught up on DVR shows the rest of the day before DH got back in town. 

  • 1) Saturday night we tried a new Indian/Nepalese restaurant and the food was amazing!  Haven't found really good Indian food since I moved back to Colorado.  It was a buffet and while most of the food was healthy I ate way too much of it.

    2) Sunday was just bad.  BBQ at my parents' house meant lots of food and beer.

    3) yesterday was our anniversary.  For lunch we went out and got wings and fries.  Dinner was healthy, but afterwards I ate a bunch of spoons of pb and dark chocolate chips. 

    A refocusing on healthy eating is very necessary right now.
