Hey, I just saw your question in the poll.

They would want to do the c-section a week early because they don't want me to go into labor.  If I go into labor, I have to have an emergency c-section, which apparently results in a bigger scar, more rush as far as pumping me full of drugs and fluids faster, and longer healing [and likely is inconvenient for the hospital].

I'm still not convinced a breech baby requires a c-section, but my real hope is to just turn this baby around.  I found a chiropractor who is trained in a method to help get breech babies to turn, and he's fitting me in as many times as he can before the doctor will attempt a version - i.e., manually turning the baby herself.

  • Gotcha.  I just saw what you posted on the other board.  It sounds like you have plenty of time for it to work.  Good luck and i hope your baby cooperates :)
