Which is a better gift?

If you found out someone you love is going through a very hard time in their marriage, would you send flowers or a cookie bouquet?  Or something else?

Re: Which is a better gift?

  • I'm not a big fan of flowers because they die! Smile To me a neat plant is a better idea!?

  • I agree with Sum, a plant is always a nice idea.  But between the flowers or the cookie bouquet, I'd choose the cookies ;)
  • Candies and a bottle of wine?  That's what I would want- a) I could drown my sorrows in wine and chocolate or b) I could work on the marriage and have some wine and chocolate to loosen things up.
  • Mani, pedi, massage, yoga gift cards

  • mmmm always makes me feel better......i'm having some problems in my marriage....can i have some wine?! lol jokes
  • I'm with Smiles!  Although I was super stressed last Friday and a shopping trip with Mom and flowers from Jeana made ALL the difference! :)  Maybe suggest a girls day out?
  • Ehhh, neither.  I wouldnt send them anything (assuming they are in town) - I'd take them out for lunch, pedi, etc.  Something to actually cheer them up.  If they are out of town you could send them a gift certificate?

  • They are out of town.  I ended up sending the cookie bouquet because she loves cookies like I never thought anyone could.  I know she'll love it, she really needs some cheering up.  And I'm not sending him crap.  ;)
  • I'd skip the food and alcohol, it'll only make you feel crappy later on.  Maybe a plant, a nice book, magazine subscription with a copy of the most recent issue, mani, pedi.
