Herb growers ~ help!!

So, in my new kitchen, I have a little window that sticks out ~ I think it would be perfect to grow some herbs that I can use in my cooking! I have crap for a green thumb, so if anyone can give me advice, it would be VERY helpful!

What's the easiest thing to grow and how do I take care of it?? In the spring I'm gonna be calling on all of you to help me with a veggie garden!!!

Re: Herb growers ~ help!!

  • Mint, basil, rosemary

  • Mint for mojitos and basil for tomato sauce.
I keep an inch and a half guardrail nut on a loop of 550 cord. It's not whiz-bang tactical, but one smack in the grape and it's coloring books for Christmas.
  • Depends on your cooking habits-I grow italian parseley, cilantro, rosemary.  Grow what you think you will use. Otherwise you will get annoyed with them. And if you don't want to worry about that how about some cute plants/cacti both home depot and lowes have great little indoor plants that are good for ledges/windows.  I just bought some cacti for a pot we have from dh's grandmother.
