Re: summer vacations

  • We try not to travel in the summer because everybody else does.  Instead, we're planning a trip to California wine country in October.

    So excited.

  • We're just doing Ocean City, NJ (my whole family goes every year) in June.  Love, love, love it there...to the point it was between moving there or moving back to Delaware next year lol (DE won out).  I'm also trying to convince DH to go down to North Carolina with me in September to visit my BFF, but that's more of a 7 hour drive :)
  • We are going to Rehoboth the week after labor day
  • We are still deciding what to do.  We have 2 weeks off in August, but the 1st Friday we are off  is my cousins wedding in Conneticut.  So we are not sure if we want to spend a week up there and visit the New England States, or if we should come back and do our usual trip to Ocean City, MD.

  • DH and I are going to visit his mom and sister (and her family) in California in less than 2 weeks!  We are super excited about it.  His mom couldn't make it to our wedding in October (couldn't fly due to heart problems) so I'm really excited to meet her for the first time.

  • We are going to Hilton Head, SC in October.

What about a trip to Williamsburg, VA for your family? Bush Gardens and Water Country USA are there along with outlet shopping and historical sights. A funny "Mature audiences only" dinner theatre: rosie rumps regal dump (http://www.ontheline.com/group/) It was hilarious and the price with the coupon is what you would pay elsewhere, except you get the added bonus of a show.
