that retailers never apologize anymore? i don't know if they just don't want to admit responsibility or what, but it seems like whenever you're inconvenienced because of their error, they don't care.
example: CVS. i hate that place and don't know why i don't just change my prescriptions to somewhere else already. i don't know how many times i've been in there and my prescription hasn't been ready and they just tell me to come back later. no sorry, no nothing.
another example: last week i ordered a photo online to be picked up at the store. got my confirm, got an email saying it was being printed. i go to the store and i'm told to reorder it. no sorry. the next day i go in again and still no photo and they blame me (said i must have chosen a different store to pick it up - i checked - i didn't). still no sorry. i then called again, and it wasn't there so i reordered then called and finally they said it was there. then i got there and picked up the picture and the owner asked me for the money. i explained to him, no, i paid before and it wasn't ready so i had to go home and reorder. he says, "oh okay, no problem."
ummmm... that's when homegirl lost her patience. so i say, "actually it was a problem." so he says "what?" and i proceed to tell him about my 3 visits and 2 phone calls just to get this damn photo and then I say and NO ONE ever said sorry for the inconvience. well, he said sorry but by that point it didn't matter.
retailers just don't value customers anymore. people don't understand a simple acknowledgement of the hassle could go a long way.
