As mentioned here our landlord entered our apartment (consent from us) and moved every. single. thing we own (no consent) and broke our desktop computer in the process. She verbally told us she would pay for the repairs, which wound up costing a lot. $700 USD a lot - c'mon, this is Norway, what did you expect?
She is now trying to renege on her verbal promise to pay for the repair. She is currently trying to sell our apartment (we are moving in early June). She had a large For Sale sign hanging from our balcony, which we have removed until she pays up. She has done a public viewing, which we will refuse any more of until she pays up. She does not have a key to the property. In addition, she has "all of her stuff" in a storage unit in the basement, which only we have the keys to.
Does anybody have any advice? Besides withholding her (and potential buyers) entry to the property what else can we do?
A lawyer would quickly cost more than the repairs but I am willing to bluff on that. Tenants have all the rights here. I think.
