September 2009 Weddings
Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email [email protected]

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

FYI

Those of you who have submitted secrets should check out some of the discussions about TKPS on P&E - a couple of those girls are reading both sites, and comment about how they relate to a few of your secrets.

Re: FYI

  • Please, do you have the links that aren't totally obnoxious with the video on the top?

  • Tree - I may have missed this, but do you handle the TKPS as well?
  • I agree with what someone said over on TK - to the girl who wants to have a baby but doesn't want to be that "committed" to your husband - What did you think marriage was?

I agree with what Tree said about that one on P&E:

Not that I feel the same way, but I can kind of understand that one.  Over on that board, we've all only been married for a few months, so trying to wrap my head around being married for several decades is still a weird concept.  If they have a history of people  leaving them, i get why they are concerned with their DH not being there a few years down the line.

    Especially the bold part.

I have a friend kinda just like that - before she got married, she was always talking about "well, when get get a divorce..." like it was inevitable in the future... unfortunately, that's the home life she was raised in, so I think in her mind it's just how she thinks everything ends.  Which is really sad, especially since they now have a newborn daughter...

That's so sad. :( And i can't even understand it, why get married if you think you'll end up divorced?  I think it's sad that there will always be more and more people who think divorce is inevitable and the way out of difficult situations.

  • I think our link is fine, except for the people who see me posting on P&E - TheKnot one got to AFSB (aka Caribbean Nest) and I think most of the other Nest boards picked it up from there.  From what I've seen, no one's really said anything bad about it and people think there should be a Nest and Bump one also.

I do run TheKnot one as well.

  • Feel free to post some links. I'm too lazy to read through all of TK Post Secret stuff. I just want to see the discussions about the Niner PS.

  • The former Snarky Brides - they jumped over to TheNest after the format change because it wasn't working for a lot of them, and just stayed over there using the Caribbean board.
