Anyone have a portable DVD player they can recommend?

We're going to Maui in May and taking the kids.  We are on the non-stop flight which is 7 hours total.  We want to get a portable DVD player to help entertain the kiddos.

Does anyone have one they can recommend?  We don't want to spend a fortune, but need one with a battery life longer than 2 hours.

Or does anyone know how much extra batteries cost?  I'm wondering if we just buy a cheap one with a short battery life and then buy extra batteries.

Re: Anyone have a portable DVD player they can recommend?

  • Personally, I'd get an ipod nano and load videos on it. :)  Sorry I can't help with what you actually asked though!

  • We have an old Zenith and love it however I don't think they make it anymore. Cnet.com recommends this Toshiba it's a bit pricey though. Honestly for the amount of money I'd probably go with a netbook. That's what we did and love it. DH just downloaded a bunch of videos for DS.
