Feet hurting....BAD

I am training for my 2nd Avon Walk and my feet are killing me.  I'm up to 10 miles on my longest day of the week, and doing 8 today was painful.  I was born pigeon-toed (for lack of the correct medical term) so my feet pronate quite a bit.  I've been fitted for shoes, but now I'm wondering if I should see a doctor.  Do orthotics help this?  I'm definitely calling the doctor tomorrow to see what I should do.....and talking to my chiropractor since he's adjusted my feet in the past.  Any advice??

I can't believe how badly my feet hurt right now.   Crying

Re: Feet hurting....BAD

  • Orthotics may help, but in the meantime, fill a bucket with cold water and some ice and dunk your feet in there for 10-15 minutes.  It won't feel pleasant, but it will help numb the pain and help with any inflammation.  Also, rolling your feet over a tennis ball or a frozen water bottle helps.
  • I would also suggest orthotics

  • Thanks ladies.  Due to my trip to Rome I can't get in until February 15th, but at least I have an appointment scheduled!
