I'm mad and happy and sad

Mad that we owe over $600 in taxes because DH's work didn't withold enough.

Happy that I get vacation time to go to NYC in March with DH to visit my brother.

Sad that I'm not going to have much $ to go after owing taxes.

Overall, I'm pretty happy though.

I sure missed a lot today.  I wish I was here more days.

Re: I'm mad and happy and sad

  • I wish you were here more too.

I'm kinda unhappy that we're not getting as much of a refund as we thought we would.  It's also disheartening to see how little we've made over the past year.

ETA:  This is why we don't have children.  I have the feeling if I showed people our W2's and our total combined monthly bills they would say "yes, indeed you really can't afford children."

  • My BFF has a 2 year old and she's getting $6000 refunded! Lol...not that that would cover the expenses of a kid(including daycare) for a year though.

    Indifferent

Damn.  There's so much that H and I could do with an extra $6K.

  • I feel for you, that sucks. Last year we didn't get anything back. I'm hoping this year is different. We still need to file.
