Losing it

I saw this page and I thought maybe I can get a word from the people I use to be like.  I know I want to spend the time with my husband without children, but people asking about when and why are you taking so long, they are slowly converting me....HELP.  I want to come back to your side.

Re: Losing it

  • Just think about morning sickness, stretch marks, childbirth, your body after childbirth, a newborn waking up every 2 hours and getting no sleep, and 18 years of not having much free time to do what you want.  That usually does it for me :)
  • Think about how much of a pain it will be to schedule vacations when you have kids.

  • Go to Walmart around 7 and listen to the kids scream their heads off.  Between this and lurking on the Bumps labor and delivery board it does it for me!
  • Nine months of sobriety followed by 18+ years of parenting, tighter finances and no freedom usually does the trick.

  • Well, you guys need to do what you want do, what feels right for you. If you are wanting children, then great, but if not, don't let other people pressure you into it. Having kids is a HUGE commitment, your whole life transforms and your focus is now the kids. There's no timeline for when you should start a family, and no one can say that every couple must be parents and have kids. I am all for supporting people who want to have kids and are ready to be parents, but I also support people, like myself who make other choices. You aren't less of a person if you don't have a kid. Plus, I think the biggest mistake people make is rushing into having kids or making the decision without really understanding or putting their whole heart into it.
