PSA: When using the OCM, use caution

For a few days, I used just grape seed oil.  I was feeling oily on about the 3rd day, so I added some castrol oil.  This is all mixed in the original gso plastic bottle it came in, with about a quarter sized opening.

I do the cleanse in the shower.  I take off the lid, set it down, and pour a bit in my hand.  Since I don't want the oil to run out of my hand, I just wait and put the lid back on until after the cleanse is done.

Last night, I was rubbing in the oil, when DH decided he was going to "sneak" in the shower with me.

As he got in, he kicked the bottle over, and oil went all over the tub.

Oil on the floor of a tub is NOT safe.  Not safe at all.

    Yeah, total typo.  Castor.

But funny thing, when my SIL was pregnant with her oldest (now 15) and she drank castor oil to induce labor, I was very shocked that a doctor would want a pregnant woman to drink motor oil.  I didn't know what castor oil was until very recently.

I didn't fall, but we slipped a lot.  Needless to say, the whole point of DH getting into the shower with me did not happen.

  • LOL Poor DH!  Ha!  Poor you though.  I'm glad you're okay.
  • This is why I rub oil on my face and THEN get into the shower.  I don't keep the oil in the shower.

Just make sure you turn on the water, get undressed and have your towels and other shower necessities ready BEFORE your hands get all oily.  Yes, I learned that the hard way.  LOL.

  • Very funny.  I'm glad you are all okay.
