Traveling to Laguna & Newport beach this weekend, need advice

I am from Texas.  I looked up on weather.com what the weather was supposed to be like, I take that with a grain of sand, but was hoping ya'll could give me some ideas on clothes to pack.  We are already in the 90's here in Texas, but it looks like ya'll are barely in the 70's during the day and even cooker at night.  Are both towns super casual or should I dress up more.  We talking flip flops or heels?

Any advice is VERY appreciated!  Thanks!

Re: Traveling to Laguna & Newport beach this weekend, need advice

  • We're having below average temps right now so what you're seeing on weather.com is probably pretty accurate.  It's supposed to be in the 70s this weekend, but it will probably be a little bit cooler at the beach.  Both cities are casual.  I wear flip flops pretty much everywhere in the summer, unless you're going to a nice meal or for cocktails.
  • Ditto what MBOC said on the weather- both cities are "day casual" but if you're going out they are kind of "uppity type" areas...=P so definitely bring some nice outfits and some heels...
  • Let us know what hot spots you plan on hitting and we can better tell you what to wear.  The other gals are right though, weather is a bit wacky right now and flip flops are generally good anywhere. :)

  • I even wear my flip flops out, I just have "nice" flip flops.

Bring layers...the weather is wacky lately.
