Landscaper or Tree trimming recs?

My dad recommended that we have the large tree in our front yard trimmed, and we also have a giant evil stump/weed that I'd like to get removed. Any recommendations for a good tree surgeon?

Also, our front flowerbed is way overgrown, and I think some of the bushes are beyond my skills in pruning & salvaging. I'm not sure if we have enough in our budget to tackle it this year, but I'd like to at least get a couple of estimates from landscapers so we know how much we'd have to save to redo the whole bed. Good/bad experiences with any specific landscapers?

Thanks, ladies!

Re: Landscaper or Tree trimming recs?

  • Here's the list of companies that were recommended to me - we're in the same boat. I work in the same building as AL Huber - the general contractors, so I figure these are probably pretty good rec's.

    Audrie Seeley & Co - 816-361-0011
    DJ's Lawn & Landscaping, Inc. - 816-524-8555
    Keller's Flowerhaus & Landscaping - 816-373-6223
    Rock Creek Lawn & Landscape - 913-782-8844

I haven't yet called any of them, as I just got the list, but I figured I'd pass along!

  • One of our friends does landscaping and the kinds of things you were talking about with your tree. He is wonderful Smile

  • Thanks for the suggestions, girls. I will check with them!
