Twilight

I believe it took home every single award it was nominated for at the MTV movie awards.  The teeny boppers across the world have spoken (I'm assuming they're the ones that actually vote)!!  Robert and Kristin almost re-enacted their onscreen kiss when they won best kiss but didn't actually kiss...what a tease!  Good for them though.

Re: Twilight

  • I am such a Twilight geek. But I still think it was a little ridiculous that they won every single award.

    That trailer was such a tease though! I can't wait 6 more months to see it!!!

  • I won't be able to read the books until I pass my boards, so I'm extremely anxious and just relying on the movies right now!  I'm excited for it too, I just hope I can get through the books by the time it comes out!

  • I am 30 something and most certain not a teenager but I did enjoy the books.  I do not agree with the winning of all the awards.  Crazy....I am always disappointed in movies when i read the book first though....lol.
  • The book was WAY better than the movie.  I can't wait for you to pass your boards so you can;

    A) Be a nurse and

    B) Read the Twilight series!

    The only thing I meant by the "teeny bopper" comment was that they're the ones who actually call/text MTV to vote I'm guessing.  They're the ones who are obsessed.  We just thoroughly enjoy the story. =)

  • Twilight is so wonderful, Edward is even better.  *sigh*
  • I didn't watch all of the awards, but I saw the 'new moon' trailer. Can't wait for the movie!
  • I did not watch the awards. I find it interesting that Kate Winslet, who won an Academy Award for her performance in The Reader, lost to the chick from Twilight. I do agree with PP that the reason it swept the show is because those who voted via text are not in the right demographic for most of the other movies and performances that were nominated. I consider the MTV awards a popularity contest, not a true judge of talent.
