Today's Question: 5/28

I posted about candles on money matters yesterday, but I'm fresh out of ideas, so here you go...

I went to the Yankee Candle store at the outlet malls in Gaffney last weekend, and they had 4 large (22 oz) jars for $44!  Usually they're $25 each at Bed Bath and Beyond.

Anyway, today's question....

What are your favorite candle scents?  Why?

Re: Today's Question: 5/28

  • Williams-Sonoma Pumpkin Spice.  Smells like fall/food...two of my favorite things.  Other than that, though, I tend to go for clean scents (citrus, herbs, etc.) over super sweet.
  • My old standby is Clean Cotton, but on this trip I bought Island guava and Jasmine Green Tea also, and I'm loving both of the new scents, (new to me.)

  • Anything that smells like food!! It doesn't have to be a fancy candle it can be from the dollar store as long as it smells yummy.

I love Yankee Candles!   I haven't bought any in forever, but I usually buy the tarts.  My favorite scents:

Clean Cotton (smells like fresh clean laundry), Sun and Sand (smells like the beach, without having to actually go)

Anything like Christmas Cookie or Chocolate or Buttercream, Cinnamon, Apples for the Fall

Lemon Zest, Peach, Orange,   Just love them.

I haven't lit my candles in ages.   I have like 50 kabillion of them.

  • I'm a big cinnamon fan in the fall/winter and gardenia fan in the spring/summer.

Oooh I'm goign to have to look for that!  I was looking for something that smelled like the beach which is why I got the Island guava.  It kinda smells like tanning oil plus a hint of other tropical fruit.

In what way does Sun and Sand smell like the beach?

I love the pumpkin-scented candle at Bath & Body Works.  It's so perfect for the fall!  The rest of the year I like anything vanilla or cinnamon.

  • I like vanilla always. No matter what brand it is, it's not too strong or overpowering.

I like a lot of scents really. Just depends on my mood.

  • I love Yankee Candles Vera Cruz Vanilla and Egyptian Cotton.  In the fall, I burn Fall Festival and Autumn Woods

  • I like anything that smells like vanilla or baked goods.

As far as yankee candles go, I love Christmas Cookie.  I use it year round.  There is also an orange scent they make that my hubby loves.
