Last update..

Cliff hired a PI to find my sister and get her number and email address. He emailed her before he even sent me an email. He tried talking me into telling her to call him again, in his awful writing style.

My parents say she's taking it pretty well. Not crying or throwing a fit. She laughed at the way he wrote and asked "Why this couldn't have happened to Ally?! All the dramatic stuff happens to her!".

I'm glad she's strong, and I'm glad this is out in the open now.

  • God I'm so close to calling MUD on this one!!!  Yikes.
  • Wow! I just caught up with all of your posts.

So, is your sister biologically his child?

    Hope is not a strategy.

Yeah, because my family's well being is something I joke about on a daily basis. I find it hilarious that this is all happening. Whatever.

And we don't know. My mom honestly doesn't know, or if she does she isn't saying. But my sister says that this guy isn't her dad because he never cared until now, tried to provide or be a part of her life.

  • Well, that's a hell of a day.

I get what your sister about "dad" versus sperm donor. I hope this dies down quickly for all of you.

    Hope is not a strategy.
  • A lot happened in one day.  It was good that your family got it out in the open.  Take care.

And your sister is right to think/feel that way. If this guy isn't yanking your collective chain, he could've found a way to be a part of her life a lot sooner than now.

Wow... and your sister is only 16? She's handling this very well. It's good that she can diferentiate between a sperm donor and a dad. That'll probably help your family deal with all of this.

She should still get a DNA test so she can get her full medical history (and so this whole thing can be settled and buried).

And if he is her "father", at least she's 16 now. I think 16 is the legal age for emancipation. If she doesn't want to see him she doesn't have to.
