I didn't want this to get lost in your headache post...

Yesterday I was reading my book Small Changes, Big Results by Ellie Krieger (the Healthy Appetite host on Food Network).  Chapter 4 (the one I was reading) was about things to drink, how much water to drink every day, etc etc.  I've always been under the impression that soda is bad for you and you should cut it out of your diet.  She talks about how it's okay to drink some soda.  She also discusses other options to water like 100% juices, green teas, water spiked with cranberry juice, or lemon juice or things like that. 

The book is really good, IMO.  It's informational and very straight forward.  It's a 12 week program and you read once chapter a week and work on those goals and keep adding the next week.  I haven't stuck to every week but every time I pick it up again it's great!

    I actually saw her in NYC once and pointed her out to DH and he was like "she's a chef on Food Network - she's not a celebrity"  LOL

  • That's funny!  I would think she was a celebrity.  My husband likes Ellie - but I think he'd much rather meet Giada...  he's such a dork.

    I hope you find the book as resourceful as I have...she includes some easy recipes in her her Small Changes book.
