Could I be Pregnant? Help

I came to this board because I think most everyone here has had kids. I am a newlywed of 6 months. I have been mildy but constantly nauseous for at least 2 weeks. Not enough to throw up but just a constant mild feeling. The other night my husband and i had sex and it just wasnt working, it just felt like we were at totally different angles. There was no change in positions of how we do it or anything, just regular old missionary......but my vaginal canal/uterus or something just feels like it is in a different position. So this reallly got me thinking....nauseous and changes in how it felt.....so does anyone know if this could be related? I had my period like 2 weeks ago, but it only lasted for 2 days. Any advice?

Re: Could I be Pregnant? Help

  • If you had your period 2 weeks ago, you are NOT pregnant now.  There are a million and one other explanations for the "symptoms" you describe.

What are you using as birth control?  Are you wanting to be pregnant?

  • Ditto pp, if you had your period you are not pregnant.  If you're really wondering about it, go ahead and take a HPT but I seriously doubt you're pregnant.  Did you just go of BC or something?  That may account for the nausea.

Technically, this is true.  If you are PG, you do not menstruate.  BUT...some PG women do still have monthly bleeding that they think is their period.  So in reality, you can have bleeding and still be PG.  Odds are against that; if you had bleeding two weeks ago you are most likely not PG.  The only way to know for sure, however, is to test.

Since you said your last "period" was only 2 days long, you may have some cause for concern.  If you are really nervous about the situation, take a HPT.  Also, check out the "getting pregnant" board for future TTC concerns.  They are more, shall we say, familiar with this stage in life.

  • My advice is not to ask a public message board because at the moment our x-ray goggles into your uterus are being repaired.

??Since you had your period 2 weeks ago, you are probably ovulating. ?If you are that worried about it pee on a stick already.

    ?

    ??

  • This can't be for real.

Huh?  Where do you get your information from?

If you're on birth control, a 2 day period can be quite normal.  It's isn't automatically a "cause for concern".

OP - are you coming back to answer my questions?  Are you on birth control, and do you want to be pregnant?

    This.

  • but my vaginal canal/uterus or something just feels like it is in a different position.

This made me laugh out loud.  I had sex up through 9 months and all my parts were still in their original place!  And even if it does move around and feel different for some women, IF you are, by chance, PG, things aren't going to be different THIS early on.

  • Step 1: Go to cvs and buy a pregnancy test.

Step 2: Pee on said hpt and check the results.

Step 3: If it's positive, call for an appointment with your doctor. If it's negative (y'know what, even it's positive--you need that information), go to the book store and buy a copy of Taking Control of Your Fertility and read it cover to cover.

  • Anything is possible....IF your 2 day period was very, very light, it could have been implantation bleeding.  Maybe.....

However, it is most unlikely you are pg.

Just go pee on a stick and please never ask a public message board if you are pg.  Or at least go ask on a baby board.  :)

If you suspect you are pregnant, do a home pregnancy test after your skipped period.

If you still suspect the test was negative, wait a few weeks and test again. If it's still negative, you're not pregnant.

Similarly, you could go see a doctor and they can test you.

Also, the reason why sex is great in some positions some times, and not great in the same position in others, is because your cervix changes position throughout your cycle. At some points your cervix is up high, and other times it's down low. When it's low, it's more likely to cause pain during deeply-penetrating sex and positions because your partner is more likely to be touching/hitting it during sex.

I can tell you that asking if you are pregnant on an online forum is not a good idea. No one here can tell you if you are pregnant.

    Are you serious???
  • How is this family matters?  You had "Sex & Romance" and "Getting Pregnant" to choose from and you chose family matters??

Not to be mean, but when I have a pregnancy scare I go to the store and get a pregnancy test, I don't log onto the computer and ask a bunch of strangers.

But, while everybody is making medical diagnosis' on here, I have a sore throat, upset stomach, headache, and low grade fever... do y'all think I have the swine flu?  You see how stupid that sounds???

  • Dear Lawrd, I hope not. Please educate yourself and take a pregnancy test like every other person on earth when faced with this question.

    Counting down to DD....

  • I was on birthcontrol, quit taking it temporarily because of the side effects. No I would prefer to wait to get pregrant until I am done with schooling.

This was my line of thought.  My wording came across incorrectly.  "Concern" was not the right choice.  So, something seemed "off" to her...  There are many possible explainations.

Either way, she should just get a HPT if she is really that worried.

  • Good lord, I hope you guys never have an questions that you want to talk about. A lot of you are so dogon critical. You think that I don't know that I need to take a pregnancy test??? Of course I know that. But until I could go out and buy one I was just seeing if this was something to be concerned about. Even IF I took a pregnancy test right now, chances are it is not going to be accurate  because it is probably too soon to tell. These boards are for people that just want to talk about issues.... Yall must have not listened to your mama when she told you "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

    God Bless

  • Sounds like Wandering Uterus.

Really, though, pee on a stick.  You're probably not pregnant but there's only one way to be sure, and asking people on the Internet isn't it!

And uh, to the other lady, my period lasts two days every month and I'm sure as heck not pregnant.

Doggone, but I digress....we're not being critical, I just don't know why you would think a bunch of people that have never met you or your uterus would be intimately familiar with what's residing inside of it.

You are seriously ignorant about the menstrual cycle. If you thought your period was 2 weeks ago, you are either (possibly, maybe) 6 weeks pregnant, which would definitely show up on a pregnancy test, or you are NOT PREGNANT and couldn't possibly be pregnant.

Please educate yourself about how your body works.

Doggone, is that better? Sorry I could not spell a slang word that really isnt even a word...and you say your not critical? Anyways, have you not read the million and one posts on here? They all are questions like this....nobody knows anyone on here....we are just simply asking for a friendly opinion, not judgment day.

Okay, my "friendly" answer to your question is that you may or may not be pregnant.

I'm resisting the urge to point out the difference between you're and your.

Ok thanks for you oh so helpful answer. This is not an English paper! It is a discussion board!
