F/U: My knee injury

So I hobbled to the doctor this afternoon, turns out it wasn't my knee. I pulled TWO muscles in my leg, one in my lower ab/upper groin area and one on the side of my leg near my knee. Those together = pain in the whole leg. I'm on crutches for a week, prescription strength ibuprofen for 2 weeks and no working out for 2 weeks. I'm SO upset about the amount of training for the tri I'm going to miss being out with this injury. Blegh.

Thanks for listening to me whine ladies!

Re: F/U: My knee injury

  • I feel you.

After you are back up and moving again, you might ask your doctor for a brochure thing that they make on stretches you can do.  There are some great groin stretches that really can help you prevent re-injury.  The BIGGEST problem with groin injuries seems to be that they are super easy to do again and again.  Pesky groin is just such tough spot to stretch and warm up.

  • That's awful!  I wish you a lightening fast recovery so you can get back to training.
