Hamilton County/Anderson Township ladies

This is my first year living in Hamilton county (specifically Anderson Twp.) and have a question. DH and I did our federal and state taxes today and I am wondering if there are local or school district taxes I need to file.

When I was on I-file today for state taxes, it had a link to doing school district(maybe not called that?) taxes there as well. I hadn't seen or heard about this, so I'm wondering what the norm is.

So quick recap: do I just need to do federal and state, or is there anther one I need to file?

Re: Hamilton County/Anderson Township ladies

  • I live in Anderson and I've only ever filed Federal and State!   I hope there is nothing else, because I've been filing for 14 years like that!!  :)

  • I am 100% sure you don't have a local tax... as far as school goes it depends on what district you are in. I live in West Clermont SD, but Anderson Twp and I do NOT have a SD tax. I don't know about Turpin, Anderson, Forest Hills etc... but you can check online.

  • I'm pretty sure townships in general don't have local taxes...
  • If you work in the city of Cincinnati you should file City taxes.
