wife always accuse me of cheating

My wife is always accusing me of cheating.  I have been accused of sleeping with mutual friends, other women, one of my EX's and a guy.  I have not nor is there any proof or anything else to suggest that.  If I mention another woman somehow I am thinking about or sleeping with her.  Now what bugs me is that she can come home and tell me how great other husbands are (coworkers) or how built some guy she works with is but somehow that is ok and I should not be the one thinking she is sleeping around.  Recently, she had a contractor at her employment make a sexual advance at her.  But when I say what did you do to make him think that that option would be on the table, I am crazy to asking because she did nothing.

Advice please.....

Re: wife always accuse me of cheating

  • You sound like you are in a completely dysfunctional relationship.  You seem to be obsessing just as much as her about fidelity and jealousy.  Please consider marriage counseling.

What reasons does she give for suspecting you of cheating?

Also, "what did you do to make him think that that option would be on the table" is total BS. One does not necessarily have to do anything for someone else to make a pass or proposition. This is like the people who say that a woman wearing a short dress "is asking" to be harassed on the street.

  • I think you miss what I am saying.  If I was using her logic then I would have said that.  I don't believe she had to do anything and that is the point.  Were she has told me that I must have said something to a woman for her to ask me to happy hour or anything else.  I was saying that I could make the same type of statement about the guy who made a pass at her.  I may have expressed that wrong but that was the intent.
  • You just hang in there dude. Staying with her is the perfect answer. Keep it up.

Again I ask what specifically she says to you. If she just suddenly, out of the blue, starts accusing you of cheating on her? I would say she probably needs to see a counselor or therapist.

I really don't feel that we can give you any useful advice without more context.

  • It may be that she sleeps around with other people, and that could be reason that as you said that every woman you mention she means you slept with her. Just my 2 cents...
