Re: NOTD: Southern names

  • I love Susanna, Rhett, and Rafe.. I'd totally use any of them if I thought I could convince the boy.

Not a fan of Magnolia, Belle, and Dawson, but they're not bad names. Magnolia is odd, but not too bad, esp with the nn Maggie. Still nms though.

DH and I decided last week that Rhett will be this one's name unless it doesn't seem to fit him when he's born.

  • Susanna and Magnolia are definite "no"s. Belle is pretty, but it's a nn (my sister's nn, as a matter of fact, lol), IMO. Isabel has been my top girl's name for a long time, but would use the nn Izzy instead.

Not really a fan of Rhett or Dawson personally, though they're okay. Rafe is neat, but seems a little too much like something you'd find in a sci-fi/fantasty author's cast of characters for some reason, haha.
